Valerie Phillips, author of Soup's On, will speak about her book, sign books plus bring a crock-pot, or two! of soup for sampling. The book contains 100 quick and tasty recipes; 75 of the soups can be made in 30 minutes.

Phillips is currently a contributing columnist for the Deseret News Food section and a blogger at www.chewandchat.blogspot.com. She spent 17 years as a newspaper food editor (seven years at the Ogden Standard-Examiner and ten years at the Deseret News).
